After a successful first Awards Show production for the Richard Harris Film Festival we have time now to say a big thank you to some of the team who made it possible, namely:

Gerard Meagher for the Staging and Lighting.

Art O’Laoire for the sound design and streaming setup.

The 3rd Year students of the Creative Broadcast & Film Production Programme, LIT (pictured)

Nora NíFhlatharta for the animations.

Vera Knowles McGuire for the Voice over of the VT inserts.

Patrick Hogan as the Host (who was absolutely great again) 

And finally, Simon McGuire for putting the show together.

Short List to be announced at the Programme Launch

Just a quick update on the Short Film Awards 2016. The category short lists are being finalised and checked and all film makers will be notified via Film Freeway (email) on March 25th whether their film has been accepted or not.

The announcement of the category short list will be made here on the website on March 30th and at the Film Festival Programme launch at 6pm in the George Hotel in Limerick.

We look forward to seeing as many film makers at the festival and short film awards show.

Call For Entries for 2016

Hi everyone,


Now into our 7th year here in Limerick and delighted to be up and running again bringing film makers together again in April 2016.

Below is the new link for your Entries and Rules of Submission for the 7th Limerick Film Festival Short film Competition.

Following feedback from last year we have decided to use FILM FREEWAY as partners for the entry process. Its simple to use and will streamline both the process and the festival into the future. The entry fee for this years competition $10.00 (General Entry). All films submitted will be accessed for the shortlisting as per normal with the short list announced towards the end of March.

Deadline for entry is March 4th 2016 and all entries must follow the rules of submission. (see the ‘Rules of submission’ for all details regarding the competition via the Film Freeway link below).

Best of luck and we will see you all in April 14th to 16th, 2016.
