Our Main Sponsors for this years festival Canon and Whelan Cameras have announced another Limerick event taking place in February.

Leading Irish award winning Sports Photographer, Billy Stickland of Inpho, will be offering tips and shooting techniques.

Canon EOS Workshop

Shane from Canon Ireland delivered a very interesting workshop at the Video and Sound Technology Lab at LIT this Thursday last. Along with Brian from local supplier Whelan Cameras the workshop covered the latest on offer in the EOS range including the popular 5D Mark III, 650D and 6D cameras as well as the EOS M camera.
There were also a selection of lenses to try out.

This was the first of many workshops that will be available to not just students but the general public and industry professionals also. Canon Ireland and Whelan Cameras are committed to injecting their unique expertise and knowledge to the upcoming 4th LIT Film Festival and we are delighted to have them involved. Stay tuned here for more workshop opportunities.

Canon EOS Workshop Event

Hi All
In conjunction with the new sponsors, Canon Ireland and Whelans Cameras, we are proud to announce the first of hopefully a number of workshops on DSLRs and their use for filming.
Canon Ireland and Whelan Cameras will be in the Millennium Theatre on Thursday 25th of October to demonstrate elements of the EOS range.
This is an exciting opportunity for students in the region to get an introduction to DSLR equipment and how they are rapidly becoming the first choice for film makers and broadcasters alike.
We are delighted to have both Canon Ireland and Whelan Cameras on board for the coming festival in April, which is gaining momentum both here in the mid-west as well as nationally.

The venue is the Video & Sound lab, room 15c01, at LIT. Time 3-4pm
